When processing (bending) stainless steel pipe, the stainless steel pipe manufacturer should carefully consider the material and type of stainless steel pipe.
When the stainless steel pipe needs to be bent, the thicker the wall thickness of the stainless steel pipe is, the greater the bending force is required, and with the increase of the thickness of the stainless steel pipe, the bending force of the bending equipment should be greater.
2. In the same unit size of stainless steel pipe bending, the greater the tensile strength, the smaller the elongation, so the greater the bending force required, the greater the bending angle.
3. If the wall thickness of the stainless steel pipe in the design drawing corresponds to the bending radius, generally, the development dimension of a bending workpiece should be the sum of the right angle sides minus the wall thickness of two stainless steel pipes, so as to meet the design accuracy requirements.
4. If the yield strength of the stainless steel pipe is larger, the elastic recovery will be larger. If the angle of 90 degrees of the bending part is to be obtained, the angle of the press knife needed should be designed smaller.
At present, there are two ways to make the stainless steel pipe bend on the market:
1.Cold bending method for stainless steel pipe bending: generally, the bending machine is used for rolling forming for many times.
Disadvantages: the diameter of steel pipe is limited, generally only between 1cm-5cm; if the curvature is too small, the diameter of steel pipe is prone to deformation.
2.Hot bending method for stainless steel pipe bending: the stainless steel pipe is filled with sand, filled to the full, and bent by high temperature heat treatment, which is the most ideal method.
Disadvantages: the cost is too high, the outlay is large, not suitable for mass production.
